Bailey signs marketing contract


Jerry Bailey, the Hall of Fame jockey who has said he is nearing retirement, has signed a contract with IMG, the marketing company, to represent him in any contract negotiations with broadcasting and marketing companies, IMG announced Thursday.

Bailey, 48, has said that he is likely to retire in the next three years. He has previously appeared on racing broadcasts as an analyst when recovering from injuries.

IMG represents a number of well-known former athletes who have moved on to careers in sports television, including the former NBA star Charles Barkley and former NFL coach John Madden.
