Baffert first and third in Sunland Oaks

Gabby's Golden Gal continued her rapid development for trainer Bob Baffert on Sunday afternoon, dominating five rivals in the $200,000 Sunland Park Oaks by 13 expanding lengths. One for Jim finished a distant second, followed by Century Park, who is also trained by Baffert.

With Victor Espinoza along for little more than the ride, Gabby's Golden Gal ($13.20) collared early leader Hudler before the half-mile mark and steadily increased her advantage. The daughter of Medaglia d'Oro stopped the timer in 1:43.31 for 1 1/16 miles. She won for the second time in four starts and has now earned more than $162,000.

* Prairie Charm rallied from off the pace under Ken Tohill to capture the $100,000 Harry Henson Handicap for fillies and mares. R Charlie's Angel reported home second, followed by More Accord. Odds-on favorite Nice Inheritance failed to fire and finished seventh.

Trained by Gary Cross, Prairie Charm ($17.40) picked up her fifth win and third stakes tally. The 4-year-old Silver Charm filly's career bankroll now totals $145,000.

* In the afternoon's other stakes action, Oh My Ghost ($61.80) pulled off the major upset in the $100,000 New Mexico Breeders' Oaks, and it was Runnin Red ($21.60) in the $100,000 Breeders' Derby.
