Amberspatriot wins her career debut Wednesday at Keeneland.

Awesome Patriot, a Grade 3-placed stakes winner, was represented by his first winner at stud on Wednesday when Amberspatriot split horses and got up in time to win a maiden special weight on debut at Keeneland.

Amberspatriot, who prevailed by three-quarters of a length, completed the 4 1/2-furlong race in 52.59 seconds. She is owned by Donna Hancock and Charles Brown, and is trained by John Hancock. The filly was bred in Kentucky by Jim and Pam Robinson's Brandywine Farm and is out of the winning Limehouse mare Starkey, whose two foals to race are both winners.

Awesome Patriot stands at Spendthrift Farm in Lexington, Ky. for an advertised fee of $2,500 on a stands and nurses contract, or $3,500 under Spendthrift's "Breed Secure" program. He has 37 foals in his initial 2-year-old crop.

A 9-year-old son of Awesome Again, Awesome Patriot won three of seven starts for earnings of $114,600, highlighted by a victory in the Alydar Stakes and a third in the Grade 3 Hollywood Prevue Stakes, both at Hollywood Park. He is out of the unraced Cee's Tizzy mare Tizamazing, making him a full brother to 2013 Preakness Stakes winner Oxbow. Tizamazing is a full sister to Horse of the Year Tiznow, Grade 2 winners Budroyale and Tizdubai, Grade 2-placed stakes winner Tizbud, and the unraced Tizso, dam of Grade 1 winner Paynter.
