Awesome Feather's sire moving to Florida

Awesome of Course, sire of undefeated Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies winner Awesome Feather, will relocate from Oklahoma to Journeyman Stud in Florida for 2011.

A 10-year-old Awesome Again horse, Awesome of Course had been standing at Legend Farm, where he had a $1,750 stud fee this year. In 2011, he will stand for $5,000, according to a release from Journeyman owners Crystal and Brent Fernung.

Awesome Feather's Breeders' Cup victory vaulted her sire into third place on the North American juvenile sire rankings. She went through the auction ring Sunday at Fasig-Tipton's November sale, bringing a $2.3 million bid from Frank Stronach. Awesome of Course's other stakes-performers are Honey Honey Honey, a stakes-winner in Florida, and stakes-placed Heaven's Awesome and Sacred Palm from 20 lifetime starters.

Awesome of Course is out of the Lyphard mare Mais Oui, a Group 3-placed stakes-winner. He is a half-brother to Grade 2 winner Imperfect World and stakes-winner Monsiuer Cat.
