Aussie sire stays put

EmailThe stallion Royal Academy will remain in Australia for the remainder of his breeding career, according to RacingandSports.com.

The 20-year-old Royal Academy, winner of the 1990 Breeders' Cup Mile, initially had been scheduled to return to Coolmore's Kentucky division, Ashford Stud, at a fee of $16,000 in 2008. He is a son of Nijinsky out of Crimson Saint.
