Astrology will stand at Acadiana Equine at Copper Crowne in 2018.

Classic-placed Astrology has been relocated to stand at Acadiana Equine at Copper Crowne in Opelousas, La., in 2018. The son of A.P. Indy previously stood at Taylor Made Farm in Kentucky.

"We think Astrology is an up-and-coming sire who checks all the boxes as a son of A.P. Indy with an accomplished race record as a top 2-year-old and a classic-placed 3-year-old, and offspring that have found success on the track and in the sales ring,” stallion manager David Tillson said in a release. “We still have a few breeding rights available, and I expect that those will go quickly.”

Astrology, whose oldest foals are 3, is the sire of 49 winners from 87 starters to date, led by Arella Rockstar, winner of the Grade 3 Matron Stakes last year. He is also the sire of stakes winner Clairvoyant Lady and stakes-placed runners Evolve and Envoyer.

During his own racing career, Astrology put together a record of 3-3-3 from 12 starts, and earned more than $500,000. He won the Grade 3 Iroquois Stakes as a juvenile and recorded four other graded stakes placings, including a third behind Shackleford and Animal Kingdom in the 2011 Preakness Stakes.
