Aspen Ridge moves from Florida to Kentucky

Email

Aspen Ridge, a stallion from the immediate family of two Canadian classic winners, has relocated to stand the 2013 season at DKMR at Colby Fields near Winchester, Ky.

The 14-year-old Wild Again horse, who will stand for a fee of $1,000, previously stood at Eclipse Farm in Morriston, Fla.

Aspen Ridge won five of 32 starts, earning $187,645, over four seasons of racing. He is represented by just four foals of racing age, three of whom have started, including multiple winner Givajunior Mint.

Out of the Green Dancer mare Green Noble, Aspen Ridge is a half-brother to stakes winner and multiple stakes producer Noble Strike.

Noble Strike, a Smart Strike mare, is the dam of millionaire Inglorious, Canada's champion 3-year-old filly of 2011. Inglorious defeated males to win the Queen's Plate Stakes, first leg of the Canadian Triple Crown, in 2011, and also captured that season's Woodbine Oaks. The following year, Inglorious’s half-sister, Dixie Strike, won the second leg of the Triple Crown, the Prince of Wales Stakes. The Grade 3 winner is also a millionaire.

Noble Strike is also the dam of stakes-placed winner Sebastian's Song, making all three of her starters stakes horses.
