BOSSIER CITY, La. - Trainer Steve Asmussen swept the first two places in Saturday's $50,000 Lady Luck Stakes for 2-year-old fillies on the grass at Louisiana Downs. Paris Return put in a determined run down the lane to run her career record to a perfect two-for-two, while her entrymate, Double Faced, rallied from well back to finish second. Silver Navasha reported home third followed by Kat Nan Do, the 9-5 favorite.

Paris Return, who along with Double Faced is owned by Vinery Stables LLC, settled comfortably off the pace under the kind hands of Lonnie Meche, while eventual fifth-place finisher Ana Taylor set fractions of 22.76, 47.11, and 1:22.65. Paris Return moved to challenge when straightened for home and drew clear late to prevail by a length and a half in a time of 1:36.90 over firm going. Asmussen's entry was sent off as the 2-1 second choice in the 12-horse field and paid $6.40, $6, and $4.
