Arlington-Washington Lassie winner Rocket Twentyone eyes Keeneland's Alcibiades
By Marcus Hersh
Email
Rocket Twentyone, the filly who won the Arlington-Washington Lassie on Saturday, also is likely to head to Keeneland for her next start, the Oct. 7 Alibiades Stakes, trainer Tom Howard said Tuesday.
“She came back out of her race real well,” said Howard. “We’re leaning toward the race at Keeneland.”
Rocket Twentyone, who won a Prairie Meadows maiden race in her only other start, will train at Arlington until the meet ends here later this month, and Howard said he planned to give the filly her major work for the Alcibiades before leaving Chicago. Howard has a handful of stalls at Churchill, but said Rocket Twentyone would be shipped directly to Keeneland.
