Archwarrior, Rattlesnake Bridge, Doctor Chit retired to Hartley/De Renzo Thoroughbreds

Archwarrior, a highly-touted juvenile of 2012, as well as stakes winners Rattlesnake Bridge and Doctor Chit have been retired from racing and will stand their inaugural seasons at Hartley/De Renzo Thoroughbreds in Ocala, Fla.

Archwarrior, a 3-year-old Arch colt, will stand his first season for $3,000. His debut was greatly anticipated, and he delivered with a 3 1/4-length win at Saratoga. However, he finished fourth in the Grade 1 Champagne Stakes in his subsequent start and never raced again. He retired with earnings of $68,000, running for owner Alto Racing and trainer Todd Pletcher.

Rattlesnake Bridge finished his career with three wins in 11 starts for earnings of $518,800. The 5-year-old Tapit horse earned his biggest win in the Long Branch Stakes at Monmouth Park, but also earned a runner-up finish in the Grade 1 Travers Stakes and third place finishes in the Grade 2 Pennsylvania Derby and Grade 3 Westchester Stakes. He was campaigned by Mill House and trained by Kiaran McLaughlin. He will stand for $7,500.

Doctor Chit also raced for Mill House, and was trained by Pletcher to three wins in eight starts for earnings of $196,589. The fee for his debut season will be $6,000. A 4-year-old son of War Front, Doctor Chit was the winner of the Western Larla Stakes during his 2012 campaign, in which he also finished second in the Grade 2 Amsterdam Stakes.

The advertised fees for the farm’s returning stallions remain unchanged from their 2013 levels, with With Distinction at $7,500 and City Place and The Green Monkey both at $5,000.
