One start after upending male rivals in an Arapahoe Park stakes, Oneotwo defeated her own kind Sunday in the track’s $40,000 George Wafer Memorial for 3-year-old fillies. Oneotwo was always prominent for a 1 1/4-length win, her second straight stakes victory. She had won the $40,000 Inaugural at 20-1 in May. Oneotwo ($5.20) took the Wafer field through an opening quarter in 22.78 seconds and was part of the pace through a half-mile in 45.86 and six furlongs in 1:11.50. She went on to cover the seven furlongs on a fast track in 1:25.48. A Drop Dead Diva finished second, a length clear of third-place finisher Blazing Success. Kelsi Purcell rode Oneotwo for owner and trainer Brian Stivers. Oneotwo has won 4 of 12 starts and $68,430. She is a daughter of Salute the Sarge and was bred in Louisiana by Southern Equine Stables.
