Arapahoe Park: It could be Tebow Time in Colorado

The NFL quarterback Tim Tebow might have been traded from the Denver Broncos to the New York Jets, but it still could be Tebow Time in Colorado on Sunday. Tebow Time, a 3-year-old stakes winner, will be seeking his third straight win when he starts in the $40,000 Inaugural at Arapahoe Park.
The six-furlong race for 3-year-olds is the first stakes of the meet at the Aurora, Colo., track that opened its meet Saturday.

Tebow Time began his streak in March, when he won a maiden special weight at Fonner Park. He proceeded to win the track’s $10,000 Bachman in his next start, holding on by a neck as the favorite. Tebow Time has more natural speed than most of his rivals in the Inaugural, and figures to be showing the way under Vince Guerra.

Temple Rushton trains Tebow Time, a son of the Storm Cat stallion City Place who is owned by Rushton Farms.

Others set to start include Born Force, who has placed in two Turf Paradise stakes in his last four starts, finishing third in the $35,000 Lost in the Fog Juvenile in December, and third in the $75,000 Turf Paradise Derby in February. Mike Ziegler has the mount for trainer Mark Jensen.
In all, a field of 10 will start in the Inaugural. Other runners include A Political Time, a multiple stakes winner against statebreds in his native Arizona.
