Aqueduct pick six pays $1,854

Following a three-day carryover, the $2 pick six at Aqueduct on Wednesday paid $1,854, as what looked like a formidable sequence instead proved formful.

The carryover coming into the card totaled $227,192. A whopping $997,589 was bet into the pick six pool Wednesday. There were approximately 429 winning tickets, according to the New York Racing Association.

The winners in the pick six, which covered races 4-9, were Sunnyandpally ($9.50), Big Guy Ian ($5.60), Jonrah ($6.40), Da Wildcat Girl ($12.20), Writingonthewall ($3.50), and Fulmer ($4).

Big Guy Ian, Jonrah, Writingonthewall, and Fulmer were favorites, Sunnyandpally was a second choice, and Da Wildcat Girl was the fourth choice in an eight-horse field.

No. 13, Skip the Jokes, was a late scratch in race 9. All pick six wagers on him were transferred to the favorite, Fulmer.

The winning numbers were 1-2-2-4-4-7/13. The consolation for five of six winners paid $32.40.

Happy I don't play much anymore. Since they cut the class purses out of the Simulcast Racing Form kind of destroyed racing for me. Went from full timer to part timer.

They cut the class purses out of the simulcast edition?

Yea the Simulcast Program is all together changed. Took the purses out and shortened running lines.

at those prices, I'd guess even the DRF "How I'd Play" crew may have stumbled on to a 5 out 6 consolation ticket.

Thank goodness there was massive carryover and a good amount bet into it today, because it would have paid $4.80 for 6 out 6 w o the carryover.
