Aqueduct: Pick six carryover at $73K for Wood Memorial card

OZONE PARK, N.Y. - If you didn’t hit the Rainbow 6 at Gulfstream Park on Friday, there is another chance to hit a healthy pick six Saturday at Aqueduct.

When Silver Mast ($28.60) held off favored Stock Fund - who stumbled at the quarter pole - in Friday’s nightcap, it triggered a two-day pick six carryover of $73,432 into Saturday’s Wood Memorial card.

With there being 12 races on Saturday, the pick six will begin with race 7 (4:04 p.m. Eastern). It starts with a New York-bred allowance on the turf and includes the Gazelle, Bay Shore, Carter, Wood Memorial, and a $12,500 claiming race.

In Friday’s ninth race, there was an accident when Miz Owell, approaching the quarter pole, ducked in sharply and crashed through the rail, unseating apprentice jockey Pierre Tomas.

Tomas was taken off the course on a stretcher and transported to Jamaica Hospital.

Miz Owell crashed through a second rail but was quickly apprehended by an outrider and did not appear to be injured.

nyra is a joke.they love promoting the wood.they want you to come out in groves.the only thing they won't tell you publically is that after the races, they want you to visit their real prize.that would be the racino.they say all the right things about racing, but actions speak louder than words.the track is basically falling apart, probably the only thing holding it up is the new structure from the racino.without casino gambling, these incompetants would be out on the street.they neglect the racing game to no end.e only time they come alive is when something negative occurs.then the publicity dept.goes full scale to do damage control.why did they remove the security barn.even today,in the ny papers.nyra confirms rudy rodriguez of all people, requested electrical scanning security equipment in february.the reason nyra did not act on it.he did not provide them with a plan.idiots, wake up and smell the coffeee.you own the property.not for rudy or any other trainer.you have a responsibility to the racing public that wager their hard earned money on your product.they want to know that there is integrity and honesty there.apparently that thought has evade you.i do not know how many of you in the public have visited the backstretch.any track you go to,you are stopped at the gate and asked who you are visiting.they call the barn for approval.at aqueduct they just let you drive thru until recently.if these guys are juicing .ban them.but with all the money raking in from the racinos.why aren't you protecting the public.especially if one of your so called juicers, requested security equipment.the answer.you could give a rats behind
