Aqueduct: Pick-six carryover of $227,352 for Thursday

OZONE PARK, N.Y. – There is a pick-six carryover of $227,352 entering Thursday’s card at Aqueduct after the wager was not hit for a third consecutive program.

The carryover was cemented when Justenufflaughter, an 18-1 shot, rallied from off the pace to win Wednesday’s eighth and final race. It was the 4-year-old filly’s first victory in 25 starts. She defeated 4-5 favorite Katie Ice, to whom there were two live pick-six tickets, each worth $113,676.

There was a $69,370 carryover entering Wednesday’s card – the opening day of Aqueduct’s inner track – after the wager was not hit last Saturday or Sunday. An additional $277,168 was wagered into the pool on Wednesday.

Other winners in the sequence were first-time starter Treatherlikestar ($17.60), A.P. Cino ($7.10),  Picco Uno ($5.80), Argyle Gal ($10.20), and Unrepented ($20).

With only eight races on Thursday, the pick six begins in race 3 (1:18 p.m. Eastern) with a five-horse field where Lord Commander is the 3-5 morning-line favorite. The remaining races have fields of 8, 6, 7, 12 and 8 before scratches.
