Aqueduct cancels Friday card

OZONE PARK, N.Y. – With weather forecasts predicting 4 to 6 inches of snow in the New York area, Aqueduct canceled its Friday card.

The announcement was made early Thursday afternoon.

There will be no simulcasting at the track Friday but account holders can wager through the New York Racing Association's telebet system.

The Friday feature, the $65,000 Lucky Lucky Lucky Stakes, will be rescheduled for Sunday. The race was the comeback spot for multiple stakes winner Indian Vale, who has not run since suffering an ankle injury last May in the Shuvee Handicap at Belmont Park.

The Lucky Lucky Lucky remains open to all original nominees. Horses must be re-entered on Friday.

The cancellation was the fifth of 2007 at Aqueduct.
