Caixa Eletronica, unraced since winning the Fall Highweight last Thanksgiving over Aqueduct’s inner track, heads a field of five entered for next Thursday’s $75,000 Uncle Mo Stakes. Caixa Eletronica is owned by Mike Repole and trained by Todd Pletcher, the same connections who campaigned Uncle Mo.
Javier Castellano will be up from Gulfstream to ride Caixa Eletronica, who is using this race as a prep for the $1.5 million Charles Town Classic on April 20. Caixa Eletronica won last year’s Charles Town Classic when it was a mere $1 million.
The Uncle Mo was originally scheduled for seven furlongs on the main track, but NYRA officials, citing the recent Nor’easter, elected to keep racing on the inner track another week. The racing office took entries for the Uncle Mo at both six furlongs and one mile but used it at six furlongs.
Facing Caixa Eletronica will be Broad Rule, Chasin the Cash, Ponzi Scheme, and St Liams Halo.
This horse absolutely loves this inner strip at Aqueduct. He is an old warrior and the layoff can only do him good. I am fairly confident he will come out running so don't be fooled.

Uncle Mo gets a stake named after him?
Mike, he won the BC Juve.
A horse wins that every year.

LOVE TO RUN was rarin' to go first out in two months, so much so that he rocketed through a six-furlong split of 1:08.79 seconds - faster than Cross Traffic in the Westchester at the same one-mile distance a few days earlier; back-to-back Belmont wins last year included one rallying from next-to-last, so he may make good use of outside draw to track COLIZEO. The latter drops to same second-level condition where he won big first off R-Rod claim; reunited with Jose Ortiz, who was aboard for that score on wet track.
