OZONE  PARK, N.Y. - Bruce Brown will send out the uncoupled entry of Be Bullish and Dr Disco in Monday’s $75,000 Hollie Hughes for New York-breds, the featured event on a nine-race President’s Day card at Aqueduct. Be Bullish won this race last year when in the barn of Richard Dutrow Jr.

Brown and owner Thomas La Marca claimed Be Bullish, a 7-year-old gelding, for $50,000 on Jan. 25, a race he won by one length.

“We didn’t really claim him with New York-bred stakes in mind, but we knew he’d always been competitive in those kind of races in the past, and if he did get back to his old self we could give it a shot, and he seemed like he did with his last race,” Brown said.

Dr Disco will attempt to bounce back from a last-place performance in the Grade 3 Toboggan, where he appeared to be fighting the restraint of jockey Mike Luzzi.

With Luzzi at Laurel to ride in the General George on Monday, Brown named Ramon Dominguez on Dr Disco, though he is named on This Ones for Phil in that same race.

Others in the Hollie Hughes include Freudian Dilemma, Bug Juice, Ground Force, Head Heart Hoof, Law Enforcement.
