Apriority to Elite Thoroughbreds in Louisiana

Grade 3 winner Apriority has been retired from racing and will stand at Michele Rodriguez’s Elite Thoroughbreds in Folsom, La.

The 7-year-old son of Grand Slam finishes his career with 6 wins in 36 starts for earnings of $525,829, highlighted by a victory in the Grade 3 Mr. Prospector Stakes at Gulfstream Park. He also turned in runner-up finishes in the Grade 1 Carter Handicap, the Grade 2 Churchill Downs Stakes, and the Grade 3 Count Fleet Handicap. Apriority competed as a Florida homebred for Donald Dizney.

Apriority is out of the unraced Storm Bird mare Midway Squall, who is the dam of 12 winners from 13 foals to race, also including Grade 2 winner Bahamian Squall, stakes winner and producer Squall City, and stakes-placed Acadia Breeze and British Attitude.

The deal to stand Apriority at Elite Thoroughbreds was co-brokered by Chad Schumer of Schumer Bloodstock and Bradley Thoroughbred Brokerage.
