A.P. Warrior works at Hollywood

A.P. Warrior, who won the San Felipe Stakes at Santa Anita in March, worked six furlongs in 1:13.80 at Hollywood Park on Sunday.

Ridden by exercise rider Ramon Guerra, A.P. Warrior worked in company with stablemate Yankee Million. A.P. Warrior started five lengths behind Yankee Million, drew even on the outside with a quarter-mile remaining and was stronger through the stretch, finishing a length in front.

A.P. Warrior finished third in the Santa Anita Derby in his last start.

A.P. Warrior is owned by Stan Fulton and trained by John Shirreffs, who won the 2005 Kentucky Derby with Giacomo.
