With Anticipation set for QEII Cup

With Anticipation, the lone American challenger in the Queen Elizabeth II Cup at Sha Tin on April 21, is scheduled to arrive in Hong Kong on Monday afternoon.

Trained by Jonathan Sheppard, With Anticipation is a replacement for Sarafan, whose owner, Gary Tanaka, declined an invitation to the QEII Cup, the second leg of the World Series Racing Championship.

A 1 1/4-mile Group 1 turf contest worth $1.8 million, the QE II Cup has attracted seven other foreign raiders. Jim and Tonic, second to Silvano in the race last year, joins Lethals Lady and Okawango from France. Agnes Digital and Eishin Preston will represent Japan, Universal Prince will carry the flag for Australia, and Grandera is coming from the United Arab Emirates.
