Another Audible heavily favored

COLUMBUS, Neb. - Another Audible should be an overwhelming favorite to win her seventh race of the year when she faces four rivals in Sunday's $10,000 Bill Callihan Stakes for fillies and mares at Columbus.

Another Audible comes into the 6o1/2-furlong Bill Callihan off a pair of losses at Prairie Meadows, the first time in her career she has lost twice in a row. A 4-year-old daughter of Menifee trained by Milton Gaede, Another Audible began her career with a 12-length maiden win at Fonner Park on Feb. 9. Following a second to the stakes-winning filly Salty Attraction in an entry-level allowance race, she waltzed through her lifetime conditions in successive starts.

After her fourth win, she faced males in stakes company twice at Lincoln, winning the 4 1/2-furlong Speed Stakes by 8 1/2 lengths and the President's Cup by two lengths. Her forays into Iowa came next with a troubled start resulting in an eighth-place finish in a two-furlong allowance. She bounced back with a strong showing when second, beaten less than a length after being hung wide through the turn, in the $45,000 Iowa State Fair Stakes on Aug. 18.

Another Audible earned a career best 91 Beyer Speed Figure in the Iowa State Fair, a number that towers over her competition on Sunday. Regular rider Beth Butler will be aboard.

C.R. Charmer, trained by Ron Westermann, has earned a pair of stakes wins this year, taking the Matchmaker at Lincoln and the Falls Amiss Handicap at Horsemen's Park. She is the most likely to pick up the pieces should Another Audible not like distance of the Callihan, which is a sixteenth of a mile longer than she has ever raced.
