Angel At Home, ridden by Enrique Gomez, holds off previously unbeaten Paloma Mesa by a neck in the El Paso Times.

Angel At Home might have punched her ticket to the $200,000 Sunland Park Oaks on Sunday, when she was up for a neck win over the previously undefeated Paloma Mesa in the $50,000 El Paso Times. The Oaks, which is one of the premier races of the Sunland Park meet, will be run on March 27. It will be a consideration for Angel at Home, according to her trainer, Johnnie Nall.

In the El Paso Times for 3-year-old fillies, Angel At Home ($3.80) covered the 6 1/2 furlongs  in 1:18.33. Enrique Gomez rode the winner for the partnership of Bonnie and Larry Spraberry and Carol Chappell.

It was the third win in four starts for Angel at Home, who is a half-sister to past WinStar Derby winner Hi Teck Man.

R Bling finished third .
