Amira's Prince to stand at Pleasant Acres


Multiple Grade 2 winner Amira’s Prince will stand the 2016 season at Pleasant Acres Stallions in Morriston, Fla., for a fee of $5,000.

A 6-year-old son of Teofilo out of Twice The Ease, by Green Desert, Amira’s Prince was bred in Ireland by Gigginstown House Stud and started his racing career in England and Ireland, making seven starts at 2 and 3 and winning once. He came to North America and made his debut a winning one in December of his 3-year-old year at Gulfstream Park in an optional-claiming race on turf. Trained by Bill Mott, he won his first four starts in the U.S., including the Grade 2 Mac Diarmida Stakes at Gulfstream Park over Teaks North and the Grade 2 Mervin H. Muniz Jr. Handicap at Fair Grounds over Willcox Inn. He was winless in four starts at age 5 while running second in the Mervin H. Muniz and third in the Grade 1 Gulfstream Park Turf Handicap.

He had not started this year. He retires with a record of five wins in 15 starts and earnings of $542,913.

He is from the family of champions Easy to Copy and Talking Picture.
