Allicansayis Wow out with torn suspensory

A torn suspensory has knocked Allicansayis Wow out of the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint, and reduced the seven-furlong race to a likely field of nine.

Allicansayis Wow worked a half-mile Sunday in a quick 47.20 seconds, but drifted out on the gallop-out, which she typically does not do. She cooled out fine after the work, according to trainer Patrick Biancone, but in retrospect he said he believes the past-work drift signaled something amiss.

"Now I know why," Biancone said.

Monday morning, Allicansayis Wow "carried some heat" in her left front leg, Biancone said, adding, "I think she tore a high suspensory."

While the injury is not life threatening, it probably ends her racing career. Allicansayis Wow, a 4-year-old filly by Street Cry, will be sold Nov. 10 at the Fasig-Tipton Kentucky selected November mixed sale.

Allicansayis Wow won 3 of 14 races and $210,306, winning 1 of 8 in Europe, and 2 of 6 in the U.S. for Biancone. Her U.S. career included two allowance wins, a runner-up finish in the Grade 2 Del Mar Mile, and a third-place finish in the Grade 2 Milady Handicap at Hollywood Park.

The expected field for the seven-furlong Filly and Mare Sprint, with jockeys, in order of probable odds: Ventura, Garrett Gomez; Informed Decision, Julian Leparoux; Seventh Street, Rajiv Maragh; Sara Louise, Frankie Dettori; Game Face, Edgar Prado; Evita Argentina, Joel Rosario; Silver Swallow, Alex Solis; Free Flying Soul, Mike Smith; and Only Green, jockey unconfirmed.
