Bronze Abe will be the favorite over four other 2-year-old fillies in Saturday's $100,000 Maryland Juvenile Filly Championship Stakes at Laurel Park.

The 1 1/8-mile Juvenile Filly, restricted to Maryland-breds, is Bronze Abe's first start around two turns.

Bronze Abe, who will be ridden by Mario Pino, is the most seasoned and accomplished member of the field with a record of 3-2-2 from eight starts and $102,290 in earnings.

Trained by Buddy Delp, Bronze Abe, a daughter of Two Punch, was a 5 3/4-length winner of the Heavenly Cause Stakes at Laurel in her last start on Nov. 17. She wired the field in the seven-furlong Heavenly Cause.

Bronze Abe, who is owned by Samuel Bayard, also won a first-level allowance at Pimlico in September and finished in a dead heat for second in the Maryland Million Lassie in October.

If Bronze Abe, who drew post 5, can handle the stretch-out, she is the one to beat.

Delp also entered Fluid, who is owned by Robert E. Meyerhoff. Fluid was a seven-length winner of a two-turn maiden race at Pimlico in August. In two subsequent mile races, Fluid finished third and second.

Fluid, who drew post 3, will be ridden by Mark Johnston.

Johnston previously was the regular rider for True Sensation, who won a two-turn maiden race by 3 1/2 lengths at Laurel Park on Dec. 6. Jose Caraballo replaces Johnston on True Sensation, who is trained by Hamilton Smith.

True Sensation, a closer, drew post 2.

Dish It to Me, a New York shipper, won her only start earlier this month at Aqueduct for trainer Lisa Lewis. Dish It to Me, a daughter of West by West, was a 7 1/4-length winner of a maiden claimer. The filly, who was in for a $60,000 price tag, had trouble at the start of the six-furlong inner track race and then drew off in the stretch for her authoritative win.

Ramon Dominguez, the nation's leading rider in wins, has the mount on Dish It to Me, who drew the rail.

Comeon, a maiden, completes the field. Each of the fillies will carry 119 pounds.
