All Giving dominates Skipat

All Giving ($2.80) kept a parade of chalk in step Friday at Pimlico, roaring past pacesetting What Time It Is in midstretch and bounding clear to a one-length victory in the $50,000 Skipat Stakes for fillies and mares.

Fancy Diamond rallied to be second by a head over Mikeslittlegirl. What Time It Is faded to fourth, followed by Mysterious Bandit. La Chica Rica scratched after winning the Hancock County Handicap on Tuesday night at Mountaineer.

All Giving, a 5-year-old Maryland-bred daughter of Allen's Prospect, won for the 11th time in 31 career starts.

Under Jonathan Joyce, All Giving stalked What Time It Is through fractions of 23.42 seconds and 46.02. All Giving crept up alongside What Time It Is turning for home and took control outside the eighth pole. All Giving easily held the closers at bay with Joyce just showing her the stick. All Giving, owned by siblings Tony and Catherine Smith and trained by Flint Stites, covered the six furlongs in 1:10.70.

"This is probably her best performance," said Stites, who also trains Mikeslittlegirl. "All in all, she was really good in the gate; she rated great; when he asked her to run, she ran; she didn't hang, she just kept on going."
