Aljamaaheer and Gregorian, third in Group 1 sprints in England this summer, are part of a field of 13 stakes winners in Sunday’s $420,000 Prix Maurice de Gheest over 6 1/2 furlongs on turf at Deauville, France.

The Group 1 Gheest drew a field of 15 and is run on a straight course.

Aljamaaheer was third in the Group 1 Diamond Jubilee at Royal Ascot in June and ninth in the Group 1 July Cup at Newmarket on July 12. Gregorian was third in the July Cup. Both the Diamond Jubilee and July Cup were won by Slade Power.

The Gheest field also includes the six-time stakes winner Sommerabend; Thawaany, who won the Group 3 Prix de Ris-Orangis at Deauville in June; and Vorda, a 3-year-old filly who won the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket last September.

• Alexander Anthem, the winner of the Group 2 Queen Mary Stakes, will be favored in Sunday’s $268,000 Keeneland Phoenix Stakes for 2-year-old colts and fillies at The Curragh in Ireland. Trained by Ed Lynam, Alexander Anthem has won 2 of 3 starts. The Group 1 Phoenix Stakes drew a field of nine, including Kool Kompany, who has already won three stakes in France and Ireland.
