Alberto-Culver Company, the maker of the VO-5 line of hair-care products, has reached a one-year agreement to sponsor the $1 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies this year, the Breeders' Cup announced on Monday.

With the agreement, Breeders' Cup has secured sponsorships for all eight of its races for the 2005 event, which will be held at Belmont Park in New York. Breeders' Cup has not had a full slate of sponsors for its races since 1992, when seven Breeders' Cup races made up the World Thoroughbred Championship card.

Alberto-Culver, whose chairman emeritus, Leonard Lavin, is a Thoroughbred owner and breeder, has sponsored Breeders' Cup races several times in the past. As part of the agreement, Alberto-Culver will also be the title sponsor of the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Division, a series of 13 races for 2-year-old fillies leading up the Breeders' Cup.
