Airoforce, winning the Grade 2 Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes at Churchill in 2015, will stand for $2,500.

Airoforce, a Grade 2 winner, has been retired to Swifty Farms in Seymour, Ind., where he will stand the 2018 breeding season for an advertised fee of $2,500.

The 4-year-old Colonel John colt was purchased by Jeff and Stacey Jeans for $12,000 on Tuesday during the racing-age portion of the Keeneland November breeding stock sale.

Prior to that transaction, Airoforce raced for owner John Oxley and trainer Mark Casse, winning three of 12 starts for earnings of $679,130.

He won three of four starts at 2, taking his debut at Kentucky Downs, then following up with a win in the Grade 3 Bourbon Stakes at Keeneland, a second in the 2015 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf at Keeneland, and a victory in the Grade 2 Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes at Churchill.

At 3, Airoforce ran second in the Grade 2 National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame Stakes at Saratoga and Grade 3 Penn Mile Stakes at Penn National.

Bred in Kentucky by Stewart Madison, Airoforce is the first foal out of the stakes-placed Cuvee mare Chocolate Pop, whose two runners are both winners.

Airoforce is from the extended family of Grade 1 winner Sea Cadet, Grade 2 winner On Target, and Brazilian Group 2 winner Vanua Levu.
