Advert returned $22.80 for her victory in Sunday's Malvern Rose Stakes at Presque Isle Downs.

Advert was consistent but had never run in a stakes race before, resulting in her going off at double-digit odds in the $100,000 Malvern Rose Stakes for Pennsylvania-bred 3-year-old fillies. She proved she belonged, besting favored Rose Tree and Tulsa Queen by a length Sunday night at Presque Isle Downs.

Advert ($22.80), a Barlar LLC homebred trained by T. Bernard Houghton, now sports a career record of 7-3-1-1 and pushed her bankroll into six digits with the victory. A winner on both turf and synthetic, the Lonhro filly came into the Malvern Rose off a three-quarter length victory in an allowance race on July 10 at Parx.

Stakes-placed Rose Tree, who had won three of her four career starts, was sent off at even money, narrowly favored over multiple stakes winner Tulsa Queen in the Malvern Rose. Those two sat back in midpack early as Advert closely attended the modest pace set by Get Sassy and Inverchapel, with those three separated by a total of a length through six furlongs in 1:14.16. Advert dueled her way to the lead while going three wide around the far turn and, under steady urging from Julio Hernandez, edged clear to hold sway by a length at the wire.

Rose Tree rallied for second, 1 3/4 lengths clear of Tulsa Queen.

The final time for the mile on the all-weather track was 1:37.88.
