Adreamisborn captures San Quentin

ALBANY, Calif. - Adreamisborn ($3.20) won the seventh stakes of his career, overcoming trouble at the top of the lane before pulling clear late in the $41,050 San Quentin Overnight Stakes at Golden Gate Fields on Saturday.

Adreamisborn was last behind stablemate Symphony Sid by 10 lengths down the backstretch before starting to move at the half-mile pole. He eased into contention behind traffic heading into the stretch, taking up before a hole opened to the inside. He quickly spurted through the hole and beat Alexandersrun by 1 (one one-half) lengths, covering 1 1/16 miles in 1:42.53 as Symphony Sid held on for third in the race that was transferred from the turf to the main track.

Adreamisborn, now 11-for-31 in his career, earned $23,050 to lift his career earnings to $669,580.
