Adorable Miss came from a stalking position to win the $75,000 Honey Ryder at Gulfstream Park on Saturday.

She paid $10.40 for her 2 3/4-length win over Noble Ready in the 1 1/16-miles race on turf for 3-year-old fillies.

With Emisael Jaramillo aboard, Adorable Miss broke sharply and was very eager early. Jaramillo got her to settle, though, and she sat comfortably in fifth while the favorite, Conquest Hardcandy, was leading after a half-mile in :47.93 seconds.

It looked like she might stall when she started to move into contention while going wide on the stretch turn. However, once she straightened out she finished full of run to win going away in an impressive performance.

Noble Ready loomed a serious threat at the top of the stretch but couldn’t keep up with the winner. Blame the Law rallied to finish third. Conquest Hardcandy faded to finish sixth in the seven-horse field.

The final time over firm turf was 1:42.42.

Trained by Todd Pletcher, it was just the second start for the daughter of Kitten’s Joy who was bred in Kentucky by Ken and Sarah Ramsey.  She is owned by Mathis Stable LLC.

She won a maiden special weight race going 7 1/2 furlongs on turf when she debuted at Gulfstream on Jan. 22.
