$81,000 carryover at Saratoga

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – There will be a pick six carryover of $81,616 entering Monday’s card at Saratoga.

The wager went unhit Sunday at the Spa as five of the six winners paid double-digit mutuels, including three that returned $35 or more. Not only did nobody pick six, but the consolation payoff was made on 4 of 6. The 47 tickets that had four winners returned $578 each.

Most pick six tickets were dead after the first two legs as Carnival City ($35.80) and Dr. Rico ($65) won the fourth and fifth races. Any tickets still alive entering the ninth race likely were ruined after Maryfield ($35) won the Ballerina.

As there is a 10-race card on Monday, the pick six will be on races 5 -10 and include the $80,000 Classy Mirage Stakes for fillies and mares at 6 1/2 furlongs. Cuaba looms the horse to beat in that affair.
