ARCADIA, Calif.-There is a two-day pick six carryover of $359,906 for Saturday's California Cup program at Santa Anita.

The California Cup highlights statebreds in eight stakes and two starter handicaps for ex-claimers. First post time is noon.

The pick six covers the fifth through 10th races. The first four races are two starter handicaps, the $150,000 Matron for fillies and mares and the Juvenile over 1 1/16 miles.

There are no scratches in the fifth race - the $100,000 California Cup Distance Handicap over 1 1-4 miles on turf for fillies and mares. The field of 11 is wide-open and includes Bob's Lady, the winner of the CTBA Marian Stakes at Fairplex Park last month. None of the fillies and mares are proven over the distance.

In the sixth race, Stormy Jack, second in this race last year, heads eight runners in the $150,000 California Cup Sprint.

The seventh race is the $150,000 Distaff over about 6 1-2 furlongs on the hillside turf course. Re Vote, Mabel Kent and Serene in Seattle are scratched from the also-eligible list. More Mascara, Filigree, and Yes We Do are part of a mutuel field and listed at 15-1. Channing Way, a sprinter from Northern California, and Top of Our Game, trained by Carla Gaines, lead the field.

In the $250,000 California Cup Classic, the day's richest race, there are nine runners. Long Gone Con was scratched. Hot Market, who has placed in graded stakes this year, is the 5-2 morning-line favorite.

The late double features large field. In the ninth race there are 14 runners in the California Cup Mile. White Cloud is a non-starter. Swordfish, Lennyfromalibu and Bonair Lake are 15-1 in the mutuel field. Spinelessjellyfish, second in the 2001 Mile, is the 4-1 favorite in a wide-open field.

In the last race, there are 13 2-year-old fillies in the Juvenile Fillies over 1 1/16 miles. Geli's Pie and Terpsichore are 30-1 in the mutuel field. Summer Wind Dancer (9-2), Miss Nicolie (5-1), Amber Hills (6-1) are stakes winners, but Stonecoldfox, a recent maiden winner, is the 7-2 morning line favorite.
