The 141-1 shot Van Nistelrooy Gal set a Remington Park win-payoff record in Thursday night’s fifth race, when she returned $284.60 after getting up by a head in a $7,500 conditioned claiming sprint for fillies and mares. The Oklahoma City track’s previous record of $254.20 was set on Oct. 28, 2001, by Cherokee County.

Van Nistelrooy Gal came five wide into the stretch Thursday night, then wore down the leaders to win on the wire. Benny Landeros was aboard for trainer Stacy Barnes. Van Nistelrooy Gal had not finished better than seventh in her past six starts, dating back to July 2009.
