$235K for Unbridled filly


An unraced 3-year-old filly by Unbridled sold for $235,000 at the Keeneland November breeding stock sale on Tuesday in Lexington, Ky., the highest price of the session as of 5 p.m. Eastern.

The filly, named Unbridled Appeal and sold as a breeding prospect, is out of the Valid Appeal mare Chief Appeal, who produced the stakes winner Turkappeal. Chief Appeal's dam, Silken Doll, produced a champion filly in Canada who is also the dam of the top sprinter Speightstown, winner of the Breeders' Cup Sprint last month.

Unbridled Appeal was sold to Arch Bloodstock, and was consigned by Wimbledon Farm.

On Monday, Keeneland sold 252 horses for gross sales of $7,441,400, an average of $29,529. Median was $22,000.

During the first eight days, through Monday, Keeneland has sold 1,944 horses for a total of $264.7 million.
