$219,861 carryover at Del Mar


DEL MAR, Calif. - Two winning 38-1 shots on Saturday helped to create a pick six carryover of $219,861 at Del Mar for Sunday's program.

Saturday's pick six was difficult from the first leg when Parimac ($79.80) won by a nose over Royal Hill. The other winners of the pick six races were Smart Start ($19.60), Tempera ($3.60), Mega Gift ($39.60), Hilltown ($8.40), and Go ($11.60).

Sunday's pick six covers the fourth through ninth races on a nine-race program.

Here are the changes. In the fourth race, an allowance race for California-breds on turf, As We Know It will be ridden by Jose Valdivia, Jr.

In the fifth race, a sprint for $25,000 claimers, Big Al T and Seven Jillion are scratched. Mike Smith will ride Doc Ihnken.

There are no changes in the sixth race, the $300,000 Clement Hirsch Handicap for fillies and mares over 1 1-16 miles. Gourmet Girl is the 7-5 morning-line favorite, the shortest price on the morning line in the pick six.

In the seventh race, an allowance race/optional claimer for fillies and mares over six furlongs, there is a rider change - Herzigova will be ridden by Mike Smith.

There are no changes in the eighth race, an allowance race for 3-year-olds on turf. Euribor, trained by Neil Drysdale, is the 8-5 morning-line favorite.

In the finale, a mile race for $16,000 claimers, Demidoll and Pivotal are scratched.
