Richard 9 minutes ago It is hard to make sense of the Preakness and Belmont Stakes paying out purses of one million dollars when their are two or three prep faces being run at 1/1/8 miles for the same amount of money. Either the prep races should be run like the Santa Anita Derby at seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars or increasing the purses of the Preakness and Belmont Stakes. This year's Kentucky Derby had a record amount of fans at over 165,000 fans. The younger people are getting more interested in horse racing now possibly by being burned out of the major sports and the money they are paying a lot of these primadonna's while the country has been in two nine year police actions and a recession if that is what you want to call it. It’s time we beef up the Preakness and Belmont Stakes like we did the Derby.

Look guys, this is Pimlico....first rabbit out of the box goes wire to wire...it is almost impossible to overcome track bias and Bode is only real front running talent. Personally I am pulling for Went the Day Well but I am not even getting off my c ouch to make bet...its a foregone conclusion....the lone speed never, never never gets beat at Pimlico.

What was the article I read recently? Only 2 winners in the last 20 years went wire to wire in the Preakness. Speed favoring, yes. But usually a presser or stalker that gets it.

Cause didn't look himself working towards derby....looking much better this week. I will agree he seems to always be the bridesmaid and I was sure that I'll Have Another was the better horse going into the derby and still is.

who is the good pimlico surface horse in the race that could run big, or even 2nd?

bodemsister should not have to race after the splits he ran 2 weeks ago. shame on you baffert.

Serena's Song ran some of the fastest splits in Deby history with Wild Syn and came back in two weeks and decimated the Black Eyed Susan field. Not saying Bode has the grit and determination of Serena, but, some horses can handle it. Hope Baffert is doing right by his horse and not looking for redemption a la Pioneer of the Nile.

There is no way I will use Creative Cause on top of any bets. Yes, you can use him in the minor slots - but on top? No! He's a nibbler, he runs well enough to hit the board and lacks the desire to lay it down. Go back and watch him and IHA in the SA Derby - IHA had a much worse trip and still CC got beat. I wish exchange wagering was right now because all I would do is offer 7 or 8 - 1 on CC to win - and that's all the betting I would do. Just taking $ from people who have been losing money on this horse all year and want to lose some more. Yes, he beat Bode once - in Bode's second lifetime start when he was on a pressured pace. IHA, Bode and WTDW all have more upside. Play him on top and watch your $ go down the drain.

I agree. He's over hyped and has the look of a horse going the other way. I hope he's got one more race in him because I will probably use him for 3rd in my straight tri. Bode-IHA-CC.
