Fair Grounds Track Layout
Main Track: One mile, oval.
Turf Course: About seven furlongs.
Distance from last turn to finish line: 1,346 feet.
Exotic Wagering Format
Use Ticketmaker to create smarter multi-race wagers in seconds!
* Trifecta wagering on all races with five or more betting interests
* Superfecta wagering on all races with six or more betting interests
* Super Hi-5 wagering on all races with seven or more starters
* An All-Stakes Pick Four will be offered on select major stakes days (pending LSRC approval)
* The Black Gold 5 is a jackpot Pick 5 carryover wager requiring the bettor to hold the lone successful ticket with the winners of five consecutive races. On cards when there is no single-ticket winner, half of the pool will be paid as consolation to tickets with the most correct and half of the pool will go to the carryover. Starting this season, the Black Gold 5 will begin offered on the final five races every day. The bet carries a $.50 minimum.
* Fair Grounds is proud to be the first racetrack in Louisiana to offer rolling Daily Doubles. Previously available only twice per day, a Daily Double will now be offered beginning in every race (except the last).
* Fair Grounds now offers 50-cent minimums on Trifecta, Pick Three and Super Hi-5 wagers to go with the existing 5-cent minimums on the Pick Four and Black Gold 5.

MONCLOVA galloped out strongly after closing belatedly in her second trip postward May 26, from which the runner-up exited to graduate with a 68 Beyer. The daughter of Queen's Plate winner Niigon is bred to run long, and can break through with the stretchout from six and a half furlongs to a mile and a sixteenth. BE MIND PHIL is returning on short rest off a closing second in her debut, going a mile around one turn on the grass. She has a blend of speed and stamina in her pedigree.
