Email

Iknowuthinkimsexy, a Louisiana-bred daughter of Count the Time, brought $135,000 and sale-topper honors in last Sunday's John Franks Memorial 2-year-olds in training and paddock sale at Evangeline Downs. The selling price was highest in the five-year history of the sale.

Consigned by Mesa Verde Bloodstock, the bay filly is out of the Prospector's Gamble mare Drop Dead Gorgeous and worked a brisk 21.66-second quarter-mile in Saturday's preview. Agent James Hudson signed the ticket for owner Heligbrodt Stables.

A total of 192 juveniles passed through the sale and grossed $1,757,000, for an average of $9,151. This year's sale also had 28 horses of racing age and potential brood stock who brought $55,800, an average of $1,992.
