$135K carryover at Hollywood Park

ARCADIA, Calif.- A 64-1 upset by Quiet Warrior in a maiden race on Saturday helped to create a carryover of $135,297 for Sunday’s nine-race program at Hollywood Park.

Sunday’s pick six covers the fourth through ninth race on a program that begins at 1:20 p.m. The pick six includes three main track and three turf races.

There were a few changes at scratch time on Saturday. In the sixth race, Dice Afare has been withdrawn from the sixth race, a maiden claimer over six furlongs. The race will have 11 entrants, led by Texas Dolly who is trained by Rafael Becerra.

In the ninth race, Spring Style is withdrawn from a maiden race over a mile on turf. The race has a field of 11, including the entry of Ditto This and Four Paws. Cassablanca is the 5-2 morning line favorite. She is trained by Paddy Gallagher.

The featured eighth race is the $100,000 Laz Barrera Memorial Stakes for 3-year-olds over seven furlongs. Dixie Chatter, the winner of the Grade 1 Norfolk Stakes at the Oak Tree at Santa Anita meeting last fall, will be favored, a slight choice over Santa Anita stakes winner Salute the Sarge.
