“Eye” on Woodbine

Thursday, January 5

WESTERN (NW2FM) Finished well from the back of the pack over a speed favoring track.

L H NENIA (CLM10000FM) Made a bold uncovered move, challenged to the late stages and gave way. A better timed move might prove interesting.

MARIAS VINAGRETTE (CLM10000FM) Left well and grinded to the top, yielded, sat pocket, had some traffic to the late stages, slipped clear and rallied gamely for the win. Can repeat with any kind of luck.

WHOLE LOTTA SHAKIN (CLM10000) Trailed to the third panel, rallied under urging, hit his best stride too late but closed best of all.

Friday, January 6

LIFE DREAM HANOVER (NW2) Sat to the lane, angled out, charged home to miss a neck.

BURNIN MONEY (NW2) Broke before the start, trailed to the final turn, revved up and came home quickly in stunning recovery.

ROCKINTHEPARK (CLMHCP12/15000) Raced second over to the lane, got blind-switched, cleared much too late but finished willingly.

MISS JANINE (NW2) Flashed a stout late rush from the back of the pack. Miss was by far the quickest finisher in the race.

PEARL HANDLEPISTOL (NW3FM) Got shuffled along the way, split horses in the lane as the winner got away and closed very quickly from the impossible spot.

Saturday, January 7

CLASSIC ROCK NROLL (NW22000) Slipped out to the third panel, set down and finished fast but had too far to come. Better cover could mean a win.

MUSSELSFRMBRUSSELS (NW14000) Finished quickly swinging wide heading home, missing the whole ball of wax by less than a length.

LOVE N KISSES (NW16000FM) Looked like she was radar controlled and jet propelled weaving fast through stretch traffic to win last. She can repeat with any kind of trip.

POWER OFF (NW5000) He was a close second favorite and a closer second best to the favorite in last. Same uncovered rush can beat most this kind.

Monday, January 9

WILD WIND (CLM12000) Went down the road as much the best and can step up.

DRIVE EM COWBOY (NW3) Battled the pacesetter through the lane, seemed confident but was nailed by the flying winner. May have been a tad too confident.

FLASHBACK (NW8000) Was buried to the lane, rallied well along the cones but gained much too late over a front stepping favoring course.

ARTIST LIST (CLMHCP10/12000) Sat in, swung wide into the lane, finished with solid, game pace but just had too far to come.

UNSTOPPABLE (NW2) Beaten favorite moved off the cones to the third panel, followed wide as parked speed tired, and got wiped out by a breaker as he seemed to be hitting stride.
