Darren Fox has been appointed sales manager of Darley’s American stallion division at Jonabell Farm in Lexington, Ky.

A native of County Roscommon, Ireland, Fox graduated from the Darley Flying Start program in 2009 and previously worked for Darley’s American operation for four years. He graduated from the University of Limerick with a degree in Equine Science.

“We are very excited that Darren decided to rejoin us at Darley,” said Dan Pride, COO of Darley America. “He brings with him a great deal of experience given his four years on our nominations team in Kentucky and his tenure at WinStar. With Darren’s background and his relationships, he is certain to make a significant contribution to our management team and we look forward to welcoming him back to Darley at the beginning of July.”

Fox will leave his position at WinStar Farm in Versailles, Ky., where he served as stallion seasons director.

“I am leaving a great organization, and I’m very thankful for the opportunity afforded me by Kenny Troutt and Elliott Walden at WinStar,” he said. “However, Darley is where I first became immersed in the Thoroughbred business, both as a participant in the Darley Flying Start program, and then the time I spent in the nominations department at Jonabell. I’m very excited about returning to the team there and can’t wait to get started.”
