A collection of stories by Eclipse-award winning writer Jay Hovdey

In a writing career dating back to the 1970s, Jay Hovdey has earned four Eclipse Awards and written three other books about horse racing, including biographies of trainer Charlie Whittingham and two-time Horse of the Year Cigar.  In 2012, Hovdey’s name was added to the Joe Hirsch Media Roll of Honor at the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in Saratoga Springs, NY.  He lives near Del Mar, California with his wife, retired Hall of Fame jockey Julie Krone, and their daughter Lorelei.
