Three things to watch: Black Caviar, California BC shippers, more

1. Black Caviar goes for 15 in a row

Winning streaks are all the rage lately. Here in America, Rapid Redux is one win shy of the record of 19 straight wins held by Zenyatta and Peppers Pride. In Australia, you can tune in late Friday night/early Saturday morning to see if Black Caviar will break the record of 14 consecutive victories she shares with the legendary Phar Lap. Black Caviar tied the mark earlier this month; it had been held solely by Phar Lap for 80 years. She runs in the Group 2 Schweppes Stakes, part of the undercard on Cox Plate Day. The race card will be streamed live on DRF.com and you can bet on the races with DRF Bets. You can also watch replays of Black Caviar's last five wins.

2. California shippers for the Breeders' Cup

There will be plenty of California shippers coming to Louisville, Ky., for the Breeders' Cup. DRF.com's Brad Free estimates about 30 will make the trip, and he picks out the top five to keep an eye on, including Game On Dude and Amazombie. Watch the video for the whole list.

3. Kentucky Derby 2012? Kentucky Derby 2012!

Even though he didn't make any of the Triple Crown races, the most talked-about 3-year-old of 2011 has been Uncle Mo, and his coming-out party came with his smashing victory at Churchill Downs in last year's Breeders' Cup Juvenile. On Wednesday, Daily Racing Form released its final top 10 lists for the 2011 Breeders' Cup races before pre-entries are released next Wednesday – check out the BC Juvenile top 10 for a crib sheet on the potential hot 3-year-olds of 2012.
