Saratoga: What can Brown do for you?

With three debut winners opening week, Much Fanfare ($9.90) yesterday, and High Stakes Player (3rd, $6.20) today, Chad Brown has taken an early 5-4 lead in the trainer standings over Todd Pletcher.

The way he's going, you'd have to think Maram has some kind of a chance to step up with a big race in Saturday's Diana. Standing in her way, however, are Forever Together, who is looking for a three-peat in the race; Proviso, whose trainer Bill Mott won three straight Dianas from 2005-07; and Phola, a late-blooming filly from Pletcher who finished fast in the one-mile Just A Game.
