Saratoga: Timber Reserve euthanized

Timber Reserve fractured both sesamoids in his right forleg during the running of Wednesday's fourth race had to be euthanized, trainer John Kimmel said.

Timber Reserve, a 6-year-old son of Forest Camp, was pulled up at the half-mile pole by Alan Garcia. He was vanned off.

Timber Reserve won 5 of 20 starts including the 2007 Pennsylvania Derby. He was owned by Lee Einsedler's Circle E Racing and Philip Solondz. He earned $770,957.

 ``He was such a nice,c ool horse to be around, he gave us everything he had, I never thought it would end like this,'' Kimmel said.
