SARATOGA: Three horse field

With the Lake Placid switched from the grass to a sloppy main track, only three of the original six entrants have stuck around only one of whom,  current favorite It's Tea Time, has ever run on conventional dirt. It's Tea Time, a Grade 1 stakes placed filly, was a distant ninth in the Grade 1 Ky. Oaks in her lone try on real dirt. She did finish second, beaten a neck, over the artificial surface in the Grade 1 Asland earlier this year. She's also the present favorite on the board at even money. Her competition will include Hatheer, who has made eight starts all but one coming on grass and Triple Cream whose lone career victory is on the turf. She will put blinkers on for the first time in the one mile and one eighth Lake Placid.
