Saratoga: Rightly So wires Ballerina; speed 5 for 5 on dirt

Capitalizing on a speed-favoring main track, the New York-bred Rightly So (10th, $11.40) posted a wire-to-wire victory in the Grade 1 Ballerina.

Rightly So ran opening fractions of 22.26 and 44.80 while pressed by Warbling, and sped away from that rival to win by four lengths under Cornelio Velasquez after seven furlongs in 1:22.58. Warbling held second by a neck over Jessica Is Back, who had the same margin on Devil by Design.

Informed Decision, the 2-1 favorite, chased from midpack early and faded to sixth. Qualia, the 3-1 second choice, bore out badly around the turn and was eased.

There have been five dirt races today, all of them won wire to wire.
